Our work
Nari Foundation, in collaboration with our suppliers Unipads, designed and manufactured reusable cloth sanitary pads. Our team makes kits with 2-3 pads with cases, along with other accessories. We provide the kits to young menstruating girls through workshops. They are conducted in underprivileged schools in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. To add on, our team provides them knowledge about how their menstrual cycles work. To add on, we provide them tips for remaining hygienic during menstruation, how to deal with cramps/period pain, and encourage them to embrace their bodies just the way they are.
Future plans
We hope to expand our organization and conduct workshops beyond Ahmedabad. Hopefully, with more volunteers and hard work from our dedicated team, our dream of supplying sanitary pads in other states will come true! Who knows, maybe one day, we can even gift other menstrual products!

Why?
We choose to combat period poverty by providing free reusable sanitary pads to underprivileged girls through Nari Foundation. In India, only 36% of the 355 million menstruating women use sanitary towels, leaving a significant majority without proper menstrual hygiene products. Consequently, 70% of reproductive health issues are linked to poor menstrual hygiene. Alarmingly, 23 million girls drop out of school annually upon reaching puberty due to inadequate menstrual hygiene management. By offering sustainable menstrual products, we aim to improve health outcomes, keep girls in school, and empower them to lead dignified lives.
